I am, if I do say so myself, a culinary genius!! Yesterday I made roast shoulder of lamb cooked with red wine, tomatoes, garlic and onions with mashed potato and veg to go with it. Having never cooked this before, and being very worried that friends and I would have to order take-away, I was mightily impressed when I brought it out of the oven after 4 hours of very slow coooking and saw that it looked brilliant! I would have taken pictures but I was busy trying to serve it and also cool down at the same time (apparently the kitchen gets hot when you cook – who knew?!).
A good night was had by all with lots of laughing and shrieking (which freaked the cat out), lots of Southern Comfort drunk (I am hungover to hell now) and a strange man who came to pick friend up.
